The start of the New Year and our new school term has been an exciting one with lots of new adventures begun!
First there is our new topic which has transported us to India. We have been exploring the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of the country and learning more about it through both topic and Literacy lessons. We have compared it to our own country and have shared some experiences of the country and its culture. We can't wait to find out more and to use our design and technology skills to design and make our own Indian style breads...
Our Maths work has changed too and we are starting to explore ways to become masters of maths through further developing our reasoning and problem solving skills. We have Captain Conjecture to lead us on our way and to challenge our mathematical thinking. We are using lots of resources and discussion to help deepend our understanding of many maths concepts and are having great fun doing it!
We are also preparing for our class assembly which means that we are busy learning lines and developing our performance technique - a skill which will help as we finish learning our class dance this half term too!
We have been doing so much and can't wait to share it with your through performances, parents evenings and lots of talking when we get home!
