ICT Mark London Bett 2013

On Friday 1st February a group of Year 5 children travelled down to Bett 2013 at the ExCel Centre in London. The Bett show is an ICT exhibition that showcases new approaches, the latest products and gives practical guidance for improving and enhancing learning in schools and universities. We had been invited to the Bett Show by Naace to be formally presented with our ICT Mark by Professor Brian Cox! Naace is the professional association for those who are concerned with advancing education through the appropriate use of information and communications technology (ICT).

We had to arrive at school early ready for the minibus to leave at 8:15.

The children were very excited about meeting Professor Brian Cox and some brought copies of his books to read on the journey.

We had a quick pit stop on the way down.

The ExCel Centre is right next to the River Thames and we spotted lots of famous buildings as we approached.

After we arrived we found the Naace stand and had our lunch.

Next we sat on the front row of the Main Arena to listen to Professor Brian Cox talk about Science and Technologies.

Finally it was time to be presented with our award.

Professor Brian Cox was a lovely man and he told the children to keep working hard and said that they could all be future astronomers!

We had a quick look around the rest of the exhibition and then found our way back on the minibus for the journey home. Everyone had a great day and the children were extremely well behaved. For more information about the Naace ICT Mark please [click here]. Official photographs coming soon!
