Whitehouse Common Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

All parents and carers of children at Whitehouse Common Primary School are automatically members of the WHC Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  Some members are more actively involved than others but any support or help you might give whilst your child is at the school will always be greatly appreciated by the PTA.

The PTA is a charity that raises money to enhance school life for all children in the school. PTA funds are used in a variety of ways such as artefacts to bring history lessons to life, brass lessons for every child in year 4 and creative learning workshops to enhance understanding of specific topics. We have recently funded an outdoor ActivAll in the Oaks playground, prizes to encourage participation in school challenges and small mementoes for significant events, such as the King’s Coronation. We also fundraise for larger items, such as the outdoor play equipment and shade sail for the Acorns field.

We raise our funds through a variety of fun events such as non-uniform days, a Christmas fayre for the children, a summer event for the wider school community, second-hand uniform sales from our uniform shed and our ever-popular Elfridges, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift sales.

Our meetings are held at a variety of times and are a mixture of virtual and in-person events. If you would like to attend meetings you would be very welcome but we also have a WhatsApp group for volunteers.
