Geography
Geography at Whitehouse Common ignites the children’s interest and understanding about the world around them. Through a skills-based curriculum, children use exploration, fieldwork activities and practical first-hand investigations both in and outside of the curriculum to explore enquiries about their own local community, other regions of the UK, and the wider world.
We endeavour to enhance the Whitehouse Common curriculum by reflecting the diverse society in which we live, and we study local geography such as the diversity of the population of Birmingham as well as global geography, taking advantage of our links with schools in Greece, Spain, Turkey, Austria.
