Music
Here at Whitehouse Common Primary School we are very proud of the music curriculum we offer for all of our children.
The school holds a Leading Aspect Award for High Standards and Excellence in Music and believe this reflects the musical ethos that we have within the school.
All children at Whitehouse Common are given the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument with specialist peripatetic teachers. We work closely with Birmingham Music Services who provide specialist teaching opportunities to sing, to learn to read music and to play instruments.
Children have the opportunity to play a variety of instruments.

Other instruments offered:

BRASS
In addition, currently ALL children in Year 4 take part in brass lessons and all learn to play either the trombone or cornet. Birmingham Music Service brass department delivers excellence across the City to many thousands of pupils.

We also have extracurricular choir club held for children who enjoy singing. These children have the opportunity to perform at different events throughout the school year.
