Head Teacher's Welcome
I would like to extend to you a warm welcome to our school and our website.
Here at Whitehouse Common Primary School, we see ourselves as very much at the heart of our local community and we are proud of our nurturing approach and welcoming family feel. Our children consistently tell us that they feel safe and valued here and it is our aim to recognise and develop their diverse talents and abilities and to help them grow to their full potential.
We recognise that each child in our Whitehouse Common family is an individual with different needs and abilities and our caring and supportive staff work hard to unlock each of our pupils’ ‘brilliance’, allowing them to shine. We have an exciting and varied curriculum through which our children soon develop a love of learning. At Whitehouse Common we are proud of our children and we want them to be proud of themselves and always be the best that they can be. We do, of course, expect high standards of work and behaviour from all pupils and we feel that a strong and mutually supportive parent/teacher partnership and dialogue is the best way to achieve this. Our door is always open to parents who need to speak to us about any aspect of their child’s school life.
Our aim is to achieve excellence in all aspects of the school experience and to provide our children with the best educational opportunities that we can. We strive hard to build our pupils’ self-esteem and resilience as we wish to create confident learners equipped with the skills that they need to make the most of every exciting opportunity that will be available to them. It is important to us that all the members of our Whitehouse Common family grow and blossom into confident, positive and self-assured young people who believe in themselves and feel good about their achievements.
I feel very privileged to be the Head Teacher of this successful and happy school. Myself, and all the staff at our school, never tire of watching our little acorns grow into mighty oaks and I look forward to sharing your child’s journey with you.
